Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi has extended warm Sökrönye greetings to the members of the Chakhesang community and to the people of Nagaland.
In his message, Ravi said that the essence of Sökrönye, a harvest festival, was sanctification of the Chakhesang community. “Rituals involved are meant to purify the souls, and the children also learn the rich spiritual and cultural practices,” governor said and called upon all to celebrate this beautiful festival observing all Covid-19 protocols.
On this significant occasion, Ravi also prayed that God bless all with good health, happiness and a prosperous life.
CM: State chief minister Neiphiu Rio also greeted the Chakhesang community of Nagaland on the occasion of Sökrönye.
Taking to twitter, Rio prayed that the festival would bring blessings of good health, peace and blessed beginnings. “I wish you all a safe and joyful #Sökrönye. #Nagaland #LandOfFestivals,” he tweeted.
