Gov, CM extend Tsokum, Yemshe festival greetings

DIMAPUR, OCT 4 (NPN): Nagaland governor Nand Kishore Yadav and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the Khiamniungan and Pochury communities on their harvest festivals, Tsokum and Yemshe.
In his message on Tsokum, Yadav said the festival reflected the Khiamniungan community’s respect for tradition, gratitude for nature’s bounty and spirit of unity. He wished that the celebration would strengthen peace, harmony and mutual respect while helping preserve and promote the community’s cultural heritage, values and traditions.
On Yemshe, Yadav extended greetings to the Pochury community, saying the festival reflected harvest, thanksgiving and cultural heritage. He wished for peace, prosperity and happiness, and said the celebration would strengthen unity, preserve heritage and inspire hope for a prosperous future.
Rio, in posts on X, greeted both communities, describing Tsokum as marking the beginning of the harvest season and Yemshe as welcoming the new harvest. He wished for bountiful harvests, good health, prosperity, peace, renewed hope and unity.
