Gov, CM extend Tsokum, Yemshe greetings

Nagaland governor La. Ganesan and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the members of the Khiamniungan and Pochury communities on the occasion of Tsokum festival and Yemshe festival respectively.


In his message, Ganesan said that sharing of produces with one another was a wonderful practice during Tsokum festival, which is celebrated to invoke blessing for a bountiful harvest and wellness in the family. He hoped that Tsokum festival with its underlying essence of promoting peace and prosperity would bring blessings to all.


In another message, governor said Yemshe, who is celebrated to welcome the new harvest and blessings of the year-long toils and hard work, was also a festival to renew relationship with exchange of feast and gifts.
State chief minister Neiphiu Rio, in a post on X, wished “happy Tsokum” to Khiamniungan community members and prayed that the Almighty answer prayers for a bountiful harvest and safeguard their lives.


He also extended warm greetings to the Pochury community on the occasion of Yemshe festival and wished them a joyful festival filled with love, good health many blessings.


TR Zeliang: State deputy chief minister T.R. Zeliang also extended greetings to Khiamniungan and Pochury tribes on the occasion of Tsokum and Yemshe festivals.
In a message, Zeliang thanked wished all members of both the tribes a bountiful harvest and prosperous years ahead.
