Nagaland governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended warm greetings to members of the Konyak community on the occasion of Lao-Ong Mo, a post-harvest festival.
In his message, Prof. Mukhi said that Lao-Ong Mo was a celebration of thanksgiving to God for a bountiful harvest. He underscored the need for youth to preserve their rich culture and traditions, which should be manifested in their way of life through hard work, honesty and unity along with the colourful songs and dances.
Prof. Mukhi wish good health, peace and prosperity to all on the auspicious occasion. Meanwhile, the chief minister prayed that the festivities strengthen kinship and foster new relations.
