Gov concerned over Tuensang fire incident

Nagaland Governor P.B. Acharya has expressed deep concern over the unfortunate fire calamity in Tuensang January 19, which completely razed down 11 thatched houses, three partially and leaving 23 families homeless.
In a press release issued through the PRO Raj Bhavan & jt. director I&PR, Dominic Yazokie, Acharya urged that the State government and district administration extend emergency relief and all possible assistances, either in cash or kind, to the affected families urgently.
He also expressed appreciation to the personnel’s of fire services, district police, Assam Rifles and the public, responsible for bringing the fire under control.
The incident occured Monday morning near Old Medical ‘B’ (New Sector) area. The fire reportedly sparked off due to electrical short circuit.
