Nagaland Governor, La Ganesan graced the flagging in ceremony of National Integration Tour (NIT) at Kohima Garrison Assam Rifles on February 18, 2025, organized by 13 Assam Rifles.
A DIPR report informed that Ganesan in his speech, extended gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their commitment in promoting national integration and for organising this tour with such dedication.
He said the efforts put in to nurture the spirit of unity among the youths was commendable and deserved appreciation. The governor said the Assam Rifles have, time and again, demonstrated their dedication to the service of the nation, and the initiative was another testament to their commitment towards their duty.
He further encouraged more students and teachers to join such initiatives in the future, as those tours were not just about travel; but about building bridges, forging friendships and nurturing a sense of national pride and unity.
“It is through such initiatives that we can truly understand and appreciate the diversity that defines our nation and work towards a future where harmony and understanding prevail”, Ganesan said.
The NIT started on February 4, 2025 and culminated on February 18, 2025 and brought together 16 enthusiastic students and four dedicated teachers from various colleges in Kohima. During the tour they visited the vibrant cities of Mumbai, Pune and also the beautiful landscapes and the beaches of Goa.
