Nagaland Governor, PB Acharya, has extended greetings to the Konyak and Phom communities on the occasion of Aoling festival and Phom Monyiu festival respectively. In his message, Acharya said that all should work towards safeguarding and promoting the rich culture and traditions through the festivals.
Stating that festivals marked the end of the sowing season and was a time for jubilation, he called upon both communities to take time and thank the Almighty for His unwavering love and blessing.
Further, Acharya prayed that the festival of Aoling and Phom Monyiu bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Konyak and Phom communities in particular and Nagas in general.
