Nagaland Governor interacts with students from Manipur

As part of the National Integration Tour (NIT) under Operation Sadbhavana by the Assam Rifles (South), students from schools in Tengnoupal district, Manipur, visited Raj Bhavan, Kohima, on March 13, 2025, and interacted with Nagaland Governor La Ganesan.


In a press release, PRO, Raj Bhavan, Kohima informed that during the interaction, the Governor highlighted that despite differences in food, culture, and attire across the country, a fundamental unity binds all the citizens. He stressed the importance of not only learning from diverse communities but also appreciating their cultural practices. He acknowledged India’s linguistic diversity while reaffirming the inherent unity of its people.


The Governor also emphasized the importance of hospitality as a key element of Indian culture. He reminded the students that, despite belonging to different communities in Manipur, they should always remember that they are first and foremost Indians and proud children of Mother India.


The participating students shared their perspectives and experiences from visiting various parts of the country during their tour. Officer-in-charge of the National Integration Tour, Major Jagmininder Singh Khalsa, delivered a welcome address and provided a detailed introduction to the initiative.
