Nagaland Governor P.B. Acharya has decided to donate a month’s salary (Rs. 1.10 lakhs) towards the relief work for those hit by the recent quake in Nepal and parts of India. The amount would be donated to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
In a press release, deputy secretary to Governor, George Abraham further informed that the Rs. 1.40 lakhs would be contributed by officers and employees of Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
Governor has also appealed to the public, particularly well to do and affluent sections of the society to donate generously to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the cause.
The amount may be sent to the office of the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Nagaland so that the amount may be consolidated and remitted to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
