DIMAPUR: Nagaland governor, Nand Kishore Yadav, visited Tuophema Village on August 17, where he experienced the rich cultural heritage, traditions and community‑based tourism initiatives of the village.
According to a press release from PRO Lok Bhavan, the Governor was accorded a warm welcome at Tuophema. As part of the visit, a traditional weaving demonstration was presented by womenfolk at Naga Kitchen, offering him an opportunity to witness the indigenous weaving traditions and craftsmanship of the village.
During the visit, the Governor also toured various attractions and community initiatives, including Kharu, Tuophema Amphitheatre, Ancestral Kense’s Hut, Tuophezhu Hall and the Regional Craft and Resource Centre.
