The oath of affirmation ceremony for the newly appointed government nominee members of the municipal councils and town councils was held on January 28. According to DIPR report, the government nominee members of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) and East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) was held at DC office, Dimapur.
Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang congratulated all the newly elected members and emphasized the importance of unity and hard work among the newly appointed nominees.
The government nominees to the Town Council of Peren and Jalukie was held at the conference hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Peren. Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru administered the oath taking.
The DC encouraged both the members of Peren and Jalukie, to come together to solve the sanitation problems and also to dedicate themselves and commit their time and create new things about the ecological sanitation.
Zeliang Officers Association Nagaland led by its president Dr, Hiabe and both the council chairmen of Peren and Jalukie attended the oath taking ceremony.
