Governor calls for ease of doing business

DIMAPUR, JUL 7 (NPN): Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Tuesday stressed the need to enhance the ease of doing business, create sustainable employment opportunities and strengthen coordination among stakeholders to accelerate the state’s socio-economic development.
Chairing a review meeting of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) at Lok Bhavan, Kohima, Yadav also called for effective implementation of development programmes, greater outreach to entrepreneurs and youth, and sustained efforts to attract investments while ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth across Nagaland.
IDAN officials presented a comprehensive overview of the authority’s initiatives covering corporate social responsibility, investment promotion, Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission, Swavalamban Connect Kendra, the Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre, policy research and human resource development.
Reviewing the progress under various initiatives, Yadav appreciated IDAN’s efforts in promoting investment, entrepreneurship, skill development and innovation. The meeting also discussed strategies to address existing challenges and further strengthen IDAN’s role in driving Nagaland’s investment and development agenda.
