Nagaland governor La Ganesan, chief minister Neiphiu Rio, deputy CMs- Y. Patton and TR Zeliang and others have extended greetings the teaching community on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
In a message, Ganesan expressed gratitude and appreciation to all the teachers who have “dedicated their lives in shaping and nurturing our future.” Governor also congratulated the teachers for their dedication and invaluable contribution.
Describing teachers as the backbone of the society and nation builders, the governor said “they not only impart knowledge but inspire dreams in us and mould our future.” Ganesan said teachers inspire and motivate students to believe in themselves and encourage them to pursue their dreams. “They instil within us valuable life skills and moral values of honesty, integrity, hard work and empathy,” Ganesan said.
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day celebration, governor also called upon all to reflect on the profound impact that teachers had on their lives. “We pray for manifold blessings upon all the teachers as you continue to mould the lives of young people and inspire dreams in them,” governor stated.
CM: State chief minister Neiphiu Rio also extended his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the teachers in the state and across the country for their selfless service to the people.
Rio commended the vital role played by teachers in imparting education and nurturing students, towards making them responsible citizens shaping the destiny of the State.
Stating that teaching was not just a profession, but a calling, the chief minister said teaching required dedication, patience and a genuine love for imparting knowledge. “Teachers inspire their students to dream big, ignite flames of curiosity and creativity. They empower students to overcome obstacles and challenges,” Rio said.
The chief minister said that the government was tasked with the responsibility of establishing a robust education system for delivery of quality education in the State. However, he said that active support of all stakeholders was critical, amongst which the role of teachers was the most significant.
The chief minister announced that the Teacher Attendance Monitoring System (TAMS) was also being rolled out shortly, which would provide a robust application called ‘SMILE’ (Smart attendance Management and Informative Leaves) for teachers to mark attendance, submit request for leaves and obtain approval, all through their mobile phones.
Rio said that the state government was committed to empowering teachers in building their capacities and would continue to support the endeavours to create a future ready generation. Further, chief minster expressed sincere gratitude to all the teachers who were selflessly rendering service for the benefit of people of the State.
