Nagaland governor La Ganesan and deputy chief minister Y Patton have extended Tsonglak-Nyi festival the Tikhir community. In his message, Ganesan said that Tsonglak-Nyi was basically a festival of sanctification and purification and also a festival of merry making through folk dance, folk songs and community feast.
On this auspicious occasion, Ganesan extended warm greetings to the Tikhir brothers and sisters “as we commemorate our customs and tradition while also promoting cultural harmony and strengthening the bond of unity.”
Patton: Deputy chief minister Y. Patton said that Tsonglak-Nyi festival is mainly for “sanctification of the shield and weapons which is very significant because, these were the elements necessary for warfare and survival.”
On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the Dy.CM conveyed heartiest festive greetings and hoped that it is celebrated with joy and happiness.
