Governor greets on Naknyulum festival

Nagaland governor RN Ravi has extended Naknyulüm greetings to the people of Nagaland, especially to the members of the Chang community.

In his message, Ravi said that Changs, on the occasion of Naknyulum festival, which celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and love over hatred, share their produce, exchange gifts and care for one another.

Ravi said that the centuries-old festival and its rituals signified and embodied the deep-seated philosophy of the community and its cultural values – of peaceful and harmonious co-existence not only among the people but also with the environment. 

On the occasion, the governor called upon all responsible to celebrate festival in its true spirit while observing COVID-appropriate behaviors. Ravi also wished all good health, peace and prosperity.
