Recognizing the invaluable contribution of NCC Directorate North Eastern Region (NER) in developing the future leaders of Nagaland in particular and Bharat as a whole, Nagaland governor, La Ganesan presented citation to NCC Directorate NER at Dr. Imkongliba Ao hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima on June 25.
A report by PRO Raj Bhavan informed that the governor in his speech, said that the token of recognition was a testament to the organisation’s unwavering dedication, discipline, and exemplary service in pursuit of creating leaders and responsible citizens.
Ganesan commended the officers and instructors who have led with vision and integrity, and said that their commitment has been the cornerstone of success. He lauded the cadets by reminding them that the award reflected their hard work, perseverance, and the spirit of unity they embody.
“They have demonstrated exceptional discipline, resilience, and a commitment to the ideals of the National Cadet Corps,” he said.
The governor also appreciated the steadfast support rendered by the department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland to NCC in the state.
He further said that the NCC Directorate North Eastern Region has consistently showcased its prowess in developing well-rounded individuals.
On January 26, 2024 the first NCC Girls Band from Nagaland marched at the Katravya Path showcasing the potential of young Nagaland to the rest of the country and the world.
Ganesan further encouraged the cadets reminding them that as they celebrate this momentous occasion, they should remember that this accolade brings with it a responsibility—to continue being exemplary citizens, to inspire others, and to uphold the values that the NCC instills in each of them. He also hoped that the award will fuel their determination to achieve even greater heights, to serve with even more dedication, and to lead with unwavering integrity.
