Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya, has extended greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi festivals. In a message, Acharya called upon all to continue safeguarding and promoting the rich culture and traditions through the festivals. He expressed hope that the Zeliang community would continue to preserve and promote their age-old traditions and showcase the rich cultural heritage as they celebrate their premier festival. “May the festivals of Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Zeliangs in particular and Nagas in general,” said Acharya.
LoO: Leader of Opposition (LoO) and former chief minister, TR Zeliang, has also extended greetings to the Zeliang community on the auspicious occasion of Chega-Gadi/Lamsimnyi festival, one of the most significant festivals of the Zeliang tribe.
In his message, Zeliang said called upon all responsible to imbibe the rich cultural heritage and the heart for honesty, respect, hard work, kindness and courage of forefathers.
He prayed that this festive season strengthen the bond of family with the virtue of care and sharing with each other the little that they have. “May the festival also remind us of the abundant traditional values and virtues in which our forefathers were deeply rooted,” Zeliang said.
