Governor of Nagaland, R.N. Ravi aided ten villages in remote area of Tuensang district by sending basic medical kits through the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang office.
According to DIPR report, the packages were distributed by DC and chairman DTF Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, in the presence of the CKS president, Nungsanglemba Chang Wednesday at the DC’s office, Tuensang.
Head GBs of three villages, viz. Waoshu, Yimpang and Taknyu were handed over with the packages from the DC’s office while the packages meant for Losolo, Keyanru, K Longsor, Kephore, Longtuker, Shongkiu and Khonangpong were handed over to the respective administrative officers for delivery to the concerned villages.
The DC said the medical accessories are meant for medical emergencies, which need to be utilized with proper consultation from the staffs of the respective PHCs and health centres.
The village councils were also told to make proper use of items received so as to benefit the villagers during such pandemic situation.
HoDs hold meeting at Kiphire: Head of offices, Kiphire held meeting on COVID-19 activities and strategies on vaccination drive on June 22 at DPDB conference hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of DC, Kiphire, Rahul Mali.
The DC briefed the members on COVID-19 status and importance of vaccination drives in the district. He said that the pandemic could overcome through collective effort and urge the members to come forward with active participation. He also assured to extend support in every possible way.
DIO, Kiphire, Dr. K. Pewezo Khalo highlighted on coverage report on COVID-19 vaccination drive, and briefed on certain strategies to be adopted in the district for effectively carrying out the drive.
He also suggested line departments to adopt certain number of villages and to disseminate proper information on COVID-19 vaccine and informed the members to supervise and monitor about the government directions to be implemented at the village level on pandemic issues.
Mon holds DPDB meeting: District planning and development board held its meeting on June 23 at the conference hall of the office of DC, Mon.
According to DIPR report, MLA & chairman DBDP Mon, E.E. Pangteang lauded DTF for COVID, district administration, frontline and healthcare workers for handling both waves remarkably. He asserted that the annual plan booklet of DPDB should be thoroughly checked and updated for addition or omission of any information on a yearly basis, urging the planning department to consider the matter on priority
As for LADP 2021-22, he highlighted that the elected members of Mon district have collectively decided to reserve an amount of Rs. 50 lakh from common pool for use during emergencies.
The amount was in addition to Rs. 10 lakh allocated from each assembly constituency for Covid activities as per guidelines issued by the state government, he informed.
The agenda for the meeting included: approval of proposal by the board and forwarding of the same to the concerned departments such as registration of Kenchenshu Students’ Union; registration of Anghlam Welfare Society Y. Kenchenshu; registration of Counseling & Prayer Ministry Society, Aboi; registration for compensation for the loss of Holy Cross School’s property.
Creation of Nagaland Village Guard (NVG) post at: Chingkao Nyaho Village, Angjangyang, Yaphang, Changkhong, Ukha Lamping, selection of Tobu as aspirational block in Mon district, registration of Yingang School, Aboi, registration of Wungmei Entertainment and Management as a society and upgrading of existing health unit at United Yonghong Village to Primary Health Centre (PHC) and that of Angjangyang to PHC or CHC.
The board accepted the request for grant of fund by the district hospital Mon and various health units for Covid related activities to be channelled through the LADP fund.
TB MUKT Bharat Campaign: As per the Government of India’s goal of eradicating TB by 2025 and in pursuance to the letter received from the principal secretary H&FW, the board resolved to extend full cooperation and assistance in achieving the goal. The board also approved LADP 2021-22.
Traffic, police personnel, DBs oversee odd-even vehicular movement: The Dobashis, police personnel, armed forces and traffic manned the “odd-even rule for vehicular movement” within Mokokchung town municipal area, Wednesday, at the town square.
It may be mentioned that vehicle registration numbers (odd) would ply on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and even registration numbers would ply on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
This SOP would be in effect till June 30 till further notice from the Mokokchung district task force on COVID-19. (Correspondent)
