Nagaland governor, P.B. Acharya will grace the ex-servicemen rally on October 8, 9 am at Zakhama military station.
Various stalls would be established as welfare measure and to update the ex – servicemen fraternity with representatives from Central Pension Processing Cell (CPPC), Assam Regimental Centre (ARC) Shillong, Naga & Kumaon Regimental Centre (N&KRC) Ranikhet, Army Welfare Placement Node (AWPN), Digital Life Certificate (DLC) camp, medical Camp, grievances, information cell and CSD at the rally. Ex-servicemen and widow pensioners have been asked to produce photocopy of PPO, adhaar card, bank account number and mobile number etc. to avail the benefits.
It also informed that vehicles would be provided by Army authority for Dimapur (near NST bus stand) and Kohima (D.C office complex).
For Wokha, Zunheboto, Peren and Phek, respective Zila Sainik Welfare offices in coordination with the directorate would arrange transportation. Separate ex-servicemen rallies would also be organized for Mon, Mokokchung, Tuensang and Longleng districts in due course of time.
