Nagaland governor La Ganesan, highlighting the unity in diversity of the country, urged the students to promote unity wherever they went. Interacting with students at the flag-in programme of the National Integration Tour, 2023 at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on Tuesday, Ganesan also advised the students to develop the inquisitive spirit and learn about people and places whenever they go and visit new places.

The event was organised by the Indian Army on the theme “A journey to envision your future, experience the pride & take the leap of success”. The tour was earlier flagged off by GOC Spear Corps Lt Gen HS Sahi from Dimapur on September 27, 2023 where 19 students from villages around Chakabama, led by Lt Col Gomit Dubey visited various army institutions and also Rashtrapati Bhavan Delhi, among other important places.

The governor thanked the organisers for the initiative to provide the students with a pan-Indian exposure and insight into the diverse cultural heritage of India. The flag-in programme was attended by officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, PRO Assam Rifles and team and officers and jawans from the 16 Kumaon Regiment.
