On Saturday, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in India introduced two upgraded mobile applications during the Chintan Shivir in Chandigarh. These initiatives are part of the government’s efforts to strengthen drug control and beggar rehabilitation programs across the country.
The enhanced application, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) 2.0, is designed as a centralized digital tool for implementation by various stakeholders at national, state, district, and institutional levels. This upgraded version significantly enhances the transparency, accountability, and data management in the drug control sector. Authorized users can utilize the app for real-time reporting, monitoring, and coordination of activities under this initiative.
Alongside the NMBA 2.0 app, the new SMILE-beggary survey mobile application aims to improve the efficiency of field-level implementation. It supports agencies in gathering survey data digitally, ensuring accuracy and prompt reporting. This advancement is crucial for addressing various challenges, including delayed data reporting, allowing for improved capacity in monitoring performance across cities.
