In order to facilitate efficient development of National Highway projects in the State, the state government, in accordance with the Cabinet’s approval dated November 9, 2023, informed that land compensation and damage compensation will be provided to individual/community landowners for the construction of all NH roads declared by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in the State with immediate effect.
This notification extends to the acquisition of land required for construction of NH projects and additional land/Right of Way (ROW) necessary for development beyond the existing road in the present National Highways, it said. The notification supersedes the previous D.O No. CSO/W&H/GEN-1/2020 Dated.06.08.2020 and the minutes of the meeting held on 20.11.2018 issued vide WH/NH-39/2007/177 Dated Nil. Nov. 2018.
