GPRN/NSCN commemorated the “42nd rising day” of NSCN at council headquarter, Khehoi designated camp on January 31.
A press release by GPRN/NSCN through its MIP stated that unlike past years, the rising day of NSCN was commemorated and observed with a solemn thanksgiving devotional service and commitment to God. Speaking at the programme as guest speaker, NPAC member, GPRN/NSCN, Hojei Swu while extending his greeting and paying respect and homage upon fallen Naga heroes, dwelled upon the background and how National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) was formed on January 31, 1980 with the sole purpose of establishing a sovereign Naga nation.
Sharing his optimism that the blessing and guidance of the Almighty would surely prevail upon Naga people’s aspiration and that the sacrifices and blood of the “valiant Naga soldiers” would not go in vain, he urged the gathering to stand strong and determined.
Earlier, the programme began with an obituary moment in honour of the martyrs who had fought and sacrificed for the aspiration of Naga people. Spiritual message and prayer for GPRN/NSCN members was also heard from Pastor, CHQ, Vikato Aye.
The programme concluded with mass prayer for the near and dear ones of the martyrs and well-being of Naga people.
