In view of the upcoming festivals and its impact on environment and public health, the GPRN (Iask-Luyanba) has prohibited the sale or use of firecrackers in the state. MIP of the group, directed vendors both retailers and wholesalers of firecrackers to refrain from selling the prohibited item.
The group warned that failure to adhere will invite disciplinary action. MIP also sought the support and cooperation from all organizations, various NPGs and public for implementation of the directive in letter and spirit.
Meanwhile, MIP informed that UT-I town command and crime control wing has been directed to immediately “activate the order”
