Jotsoma Youth Organisation (JYO) has suspended the agitation following an assurance by minister of Higher Education and Tourism to cancel the appointment of a bus conductor of Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma and to appoint the candidate nominated by Jotsoma Village Council.
In a press release, JYO president, Rokozhalie Gwirie said upon the request by minister of Horticulture and Women Resource Development, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, who is also MLA of 8 WA constituency and also on the assurance by minister of Higher Education and Tourism, they have decided to suspend the agitation on closure of the college.
Meanwhile, JYO extended gratitude to principal, teaching faculties, staff and students for cooperating with the JYO. The organisation expressed hope that the authorities will honour the “gentleman’s agreement” in order to maintain a congenial academic atmosphere within the college. JYO further assured to cooperate with the authorities for the development of the college in future.
