The Electrical Inspectorate (EI), as the Nagaland State Designated Agency (NSDA) on Energy Conservation, organised the “Green Village Initiative” at Okotso village, Wokha on September 29.
A press release by EI Nagaland stated that the electrical inspector delivered the keynote address highlighting the need for energy conservation and the role of the public in effectively implementing energy conservation measures.
The potential of energy savings by using energy efficient luminaries was also demonstrated. The chairman of the village thanked the department for conducting the program in their village. The department distributed free energy efficient LED bulbs, LED tubelights and LED street lights.
