Green zone campaign conducted at Jakhama college

Philanthropic Association (PA) St. Joseph’s Jakhama had organised its first Green Zone Campaign, where planting of saplings was carried out in the Jakhama College campus.
Philanthropic president, Y. Benathung Kithan in his speech advised the younger generation to be more active in creating awareness towards the Environment as the future lies in them. He told the members that God gifted “us” the nature and so, it was human responsibility to take care and love nature. Taking an example from the present generation he lamented that the ignorance of people in protecting environment. He stated that many people always looked for income but they never think of protecting the environment in reality. He encouraged the youth to erase such mentality and think for Mother Earth to have a better life in society. 
Kithan also advised to all organisation leaders not to have concern only on 5th June as Environment Day but to keep on practicing.
Further, Kithan expressed his wish to see the students, NGOs, government and different kinds of union to come out from their comfort zone and impart the awareness of environment.
The association further thanked the Earth Friendly Generation for their support.
