Greenwood HSS clinches State-Level Pre-Subroto U-17 title

Kohima, Jul 23 (NPN): Greenwood Higher Secondary School emerged as champions of the three-day State-Level Pre-Subroto Tournament for Under-17 boys, held at the Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium, Kohima, on July 23.
Organised by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports in collaboration with the Nagaland Football Association (NFA), the tournament concluded with a closely contested final where Greenwood HSS defeated King David Higher Secondary School 2–0. Zhouviku Lam and Lidikhum netted a goal each to secure the victory, while King David HSS failed to convert their chances.
MLA and NFA general secretary Benei M. Lamthiu graced the closing ceremony as the special guest and presented trophies and prizes to the winners.
With this triumph, Greenwood Higher Secondary School will represent Nagaland at the prestigious National Subroto Cup Football Tournament in New Delhi.
