Group Commander, NCC Gp Kohima, Brig Surender Singh Dhankhar inspected NL (I) Sainik School COY, Punglwa on January 15. Brig Surender Singh Dhankhar who was on his maiden visit to the school, was accorded with guard of honour on his arrival by the senior division NCC cadets of the school and received by group captain and principal of Sainik School,Punglwa, Sharad R Keskar.
Brig Surender, an ex-cadet of Sainik School Kunjpura, was briefed on the NCC and its functionaries in the school by the officer commanding, Sqn Ldr Sanjeev Chaudhary. During his short stay, he visited the NCC office, academic blocks and school campus and encouraged the cadets to join the Armed Forces.
In his address. Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar, principal of the school, presented a memento as a token of appreciation on behalf of the school.
