Guest house-cum museum foundation in Mongsenyimti

Chief secretary, Nagaland, Temjen Toy laid the foundation stone for the construction of guest house-cum museum in commemoration of the establishment of the first British outpost in Ao territory at Mongsenyimti village, Mokokchung on February 1. 

According to DIPR report, speaking on the occasion, Toy lauded the people, especially the village council, for conceiving and initiating the project on historical facts. He also assured the council to extend all help as and when required for the success of the project. According to historical records, the first British annexation and setting up of British outpost at Mongsenyimti village was established in the month of August 1888.

During the function a brief history and events record was delivered by Meyionen and dedicatory prayer was done by Rev. Imti  Pastor, Compound Church Mongseyimti.
