Guest house of Peniel Prayer dedicated

A guest house of Peniel Prayer Home at Longsa, Mokokchung constructed in honour of late Yashikala wife of late N.I. Jamir former minister and former chief secretary was dedicated on August 18.


The guest house was inaugurated by pastor Longsa Baptist Church, Rev. Supongchiten. Besides the guest house, the family of N.I Jamir has also constructed two houses for the Peniel Prayer Home which was also dedicated by the pastor at the same program.


Late Yashikala and late N.I. Jamir were blessed with nine 9 children (6 daughters and 3 sons). Late Yashikala married to Imnukloba (NI Jamir) at a young age of 23 in 1943.


N.I Jamir passed away on September 7, 1996 and later late Yashikala passed away on October 19, 2017 at 97 years of age. Late Yashikala also received the “The Best Mother Award” from Watsu Mungdang in 2001.
At the dedication programme minister, Metsubo Jamir; Alemtemshi Jamir (IAS retd), Imtirenla and Chubala spoke on behalf of the family members.


Village council chairman Longsa, Talichuba and deacon Longsa Baptist Church. Supongmeren also spoke at the program. The program concluded with a valedictory prayer by pastor Chubayimkum Baptist Church, Temjen.
