Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) has informed all patients who had undergone a hip implant operation using ASR hip implant manufactured by DePuy international Ltd (Now Johnson and Johnson) prior to August 2010 to avail compensation from the company.
In a press release, deputy drugs controller, H&FW, S. Lithungo Lotha, informed that the compensation is for those patients who were adversely affected by the procedure.
The release informed all concern to contact state level committee constituted by the state government for claim of compensation from the company.
It has informed that application forms can be downloaded at www.cdsco.gov.in. or www.cdscoonline.gov.in.
