A 14-day handloom exhibition organised by the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) and sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi commenced on February 16 in Dimapur.
A press release by NHHDC Ltd., Dimapur informed that the exhibition inaugurated by its managing director, Vitsutho Nyuthe would culminate on February 29.
NHHDC said the main aim and objective of the exhibition was to develop and promote marketing channels in domestic and export markets, and bring about linkage between the two in a holistic and integrated manner. It said the exhibition also serve to provide marketing opportunities to handicraft artisans.
Altogether 60 participants from Assam and from the various districts of Nagaland are exhibiting varieties of handloom, khadi and handicraft products.
