Handloom exhibition underway in Kohima

DIMAPUR

A handloom exhibition organised by the Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) was inaugurated by Director of Industries and Commerce, P. Tokugha Sema, on September 10, Urban Haat, Dimapur.
The event is sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi.
The exhibition, which will run from September 10 to 23, 2025 features 60 participants from Assam and various districts of Nagaland showcasing a wide range of handloom, khadi, and handicraft products.
According to organisers, the objective of the exhibition is to promote marketing channels for artisans in both domestic and export markets, and to create linkages that support sustainable growth.
The event also aims to provide direct marketing opportunities for local handicraft producers.
