Health camp conducted for senior citizens

In an effort to reach out to elderly people, Ayush Wing under Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DH&FW), Nagaland under the theme “Live Healthy, Age Healthy” carried out series of geriatric health camps across Nagaland from August 10 to 17, covering 12 districts through Ayush Health and Wellness Centre (AHWC).


A press release by the department informed that during the campaign, free medical examinations and treatment, consultations and medicines were distributed, whilst, considering importance for healthy lifestyle, senior citizens also were taught basic fitness and exercise regime. It may be noted that National State Ayush Mission, with the support of Ministry of Ayush, aims to improve quality of life for elderly people through geriatric health camps and other alike activities by spreading health awareness and tending basic medical aid for the elders, periodically.
