Health camp held in Tizu Island

Zunheboto District Health Society (DHS) has organised a health mela in Tizu Island SC under Suruhoto Block on February 13 where about 283 patients were provided health services and medicines free of cost.
Various ailments including common cough and cold, minor OT and other diseases prevalent in the village were treated. A total of 6 ANC, 11 Immunization, 6 Mp, 6 Urine test, 5 HIV testing, 9 Hb%, and 1 sputum AFB investigation was carried out. Besides, 14 eye cases was screened and the community was also taught on household hygiene and other communicable diseases.
Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and one to one sessions were carried out on family planning and maternal health. Pamphlets and leaflets were distributed free.
The team of medical personnel was led by Dr. Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP); Dr. Mulasato Keyho, MO I/c Asuto PHC; Dr. Renchamo, MO I/c Suruhoto PHC; Dr. Kito, MO, MMU; and supporting nurses, laboratory technicians, Ophthalmic assistant.
The district team comprised of Avikali J (DPM); Kasheto Chishi (BPM) Suruhoto Block; Mijito, BAM, Suruhoto Block; ASHA Co- ordinator, Lab tech (MMU) and nurse (MMU).
