
First ever mega legal service camp was held at Longleng on May 1 at local ground.
Deputy Commissioner Longleng John Tsulise Sangtam said that this was the first ever mega legal service camp in the district organized to make citizens aware of the services provided by different agencies and department.
He said it was a privilege for the public because the purpose of the camp was to educate and create awareness by the legal service authority to the people about their rights and services provided by the Government.
He was however, optimistic that the camp will be beneficial to the people.
In her keynote address secretary DLSA & Chief Judicial Magistrate, Longleng, Tucuno Vamuzo said the camp was successful because of the support of the district administration, law enforcement agencies and village council which understood the needs of the society.
Member secretary NSLSA, Mezivolu T. Therieh in her inaugural speech spoke about importance of documentation and paper works in today’s’ world. She also expressed happiness on the presences of differently able persons at the camp.
The programme culminated with vote of thanks by Akumla Longchari, State Coordinator NSLSA.
Tuensang: District Health Society (DHS) Tuensang conducted “Health Mela” at Chare village (Tsaru village) under Chare block on April 30.
According to CMO Tuensang, Dr. T. Pangjung Sangtam and media officer, Kupje Buchem, the medical team was headed by CMO and accompanied by deputy CMO, Dr. I. Temsu Longchar, DPO (NLEP), Dr. Sungmo Chang, DPO (DVBO), Toso Angami, dental surgeon GNMs, ANMs and other staff under CMO office.
Altogether, 238 patients (115 female and 123 male), six ANC patients and 15 patients with tooth extraction treated and given medical services. Apart from health services, focus group discussion was also conducted. IEC materials were also distributed during the programme.
