Minister for Health & Family Welfare (H&FW), P. Longon on April 28 inaugurated the Operation Theatre Complex at Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital (HMDH), Zunheboto, DIPR report informed.
Speaking at the inaugural program, Longon remarked that in his three years as minister in- charge of H&FW, he had visited visit all the 11 district hospital and found Zunheboto district hospital as the worst in the entire state in terms of infrastructures and manpower.
He lamented that 12 NLA was greatly hampered due to power tussle, for which many developmental activities were also affected. In an effort to address the issue, Longon said Zunheboto district hospital would also be included in the next Forward Linkage Scheme funded by NRHM for construction of new building.
Parliamentary secretary, Jail, ST and NKVIB, Hukavi Zhimomi also spoke in the programme. Sumi Hoho president, Hekishe also spoke and submitted a representation to the minister.
