Health screening programme conducted in Dimapur

DIMAPUR: A health screening programme for “Special Olympics Bharat Nagaland-Special Smiles” was conducted at Beyond Smiles, super speciality dental centre on April 7 in Dimapur.
During the health screening programme, Dr. Kaketo Yepthomi (Beyond Smiles- Super Speciality Dental Centre), Dr. Talisunup Longkumer, Dr. Thungbeni Ngullie, Dr. Kekhriesevor Meyase, Dr. Karishma Thapa and Dr. Elithung Ovung attended to the beneficiaries.
The programme was attended by 31 participants.
Launched under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, the health screening program was targeted at reaching a record 75,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities in 75 cities of India marking the 75 years of Independence.
It may be mentioned that the special smiles discipline of healthy athletes provides comprehensive oral health care information including offering free dental screenings and instructions on correct brushing and flossing techniques to participating Special Olympics athletes.
