New health sub-centre at Taknyu village under Noklak block Tuensang district was inaugurated on February 25, by chief medical officer (CMO) Tuensang, Dr. Moatemjen, in presence of CMO staff Tuensang, SMO Longkhim, church leaders of Taknyu village and village council members of Taknyu village.
A press release from CMO office Tuensang district media officer Aphean stated that, during the inaugural function, the CMO told the Taknyu villagers that, the community participation was very important in health sector. Therefore, he stressed that whenever there were any problems in their health centre like shortage of medicines/insufficient equipments etc then the villagers should also contribute and help the department to improve their health centre.
Team also visited PHC Shamator, Yimpang SC, Waoshu SC and Chingmei Health and Wellness Centre.
Team conducted one session for the MO and nurses on active management of third stage of labour (AMTSL) by Dr. Yanrenthung gynaecologist (SMO) District Hospital Tuensang at PHC Shamator. They also visited staff quarter and up-gradation of CHC Shamator site verification.
