Health workers trained on RCH

A one-week orientation training on Reproductive Child Health (RCH) for medical officers, nurses, block programme managers, Asha-coordinators of all the blocks was held on February 9 at Chapel Hall of the District Hospital, Mon.  The purpose of the training was to focus mainly on the new RCH register to record health services provided to children and pregnant women and not to miss the follow-up vaccines, ante-natal and post natal checkups. The register also tracks the eligible couples.
Resource persons of the training were Dr Akaba, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Supongmenla, DPO (UIP& RCH), and Bonnie Konyak, District Programme Manager.   
During the training and orientation programme, the Deputy CMO said that the data entered at the register should be accurate as the records would be compiled and send directly to the ministry and that the targets and achievements would be based on the records that they have entered. He has further urged upon all the nurses to be precise while entering the data.
In a related programme, a one-day training for medical officers, BPMs, BAMs, GNMs, pharmacists, ANMs and ASHA coordinators on integrated RCH register villages wise was conducted by the District Health Society, Zunheboto, on February 10 at Youth Hall, Zunheboto.
Resource persons were Dr. Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH& UIP), and Avikali, DPM.
Dr. G Hokishe, CMO, Zunheboto, in his welcome address, has urged the health workers to be sincere and encouraged them to perform for good health care delivery system.
Resource person, Dr. Alemwabang Aier, trained the participants on how to maintain integrated RCH register. He also spoke on the importance and benefits of new integrated RCH register and instructed the participants to follow up new RCH register for reporting. He has urged the SMOs, MOs, BPMs, GNMs, ANMs, BAMs and ASHA coordinators to impart and assists health workers in their respective blocks.
During the training Avikali Jimo, DPM, trained the participants on entry of tracking of eligible couples, pregnant mother and tracking of children.
