Heavy rainfall forecast in NE

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to light/moderate rainfall across the North Eastern states with thunderstorm and lightning during the next seven days.
Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 6-7; over Assam and Meghalaya on September 10-11; and over Arunachal Pradesh on September 6-9.
According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to persist over the Western Himalayan Region, Punjab, and Haryana, with conditions expected to subside significantly thereafter.
