Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has informed that Nagaland would experience heavy rainfall in all districts from May 27 till June 3.
NSDMA joint CEO Dr. Johnny Ruangmei has informed that very heavy rainfall was likely in Shamator district on May 27 and 28. However, for the remaining districts, very heavy rainfall was likely from June 1-3. NSDMA has stressed on taking necessary measures including avoiding lightning strikes and high-speed winds, which could disrupt communication and connectivity.
It also urged public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities. For any emergencies, one could contact state emergency operations centre Toll Free (1070).
