India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall spell was likely over North East region during next five days.
In its daily weather bulletin, IMD stated that light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall activity was very likely over the region during next five days.
It also stated that isolated very heavy rainfall was likely over Assam and Meghalaya and over Arunachal Pradesh during August 23-25.
