India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall was very likely to continue over the North East region during the next four days. In its daily weather bulletin, IMD stated that light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/thunderstorm & lightning with isolated heavy rainfall was very likely over Assam & Meghalaya during October 4-7; Arunachal Pradesh during October 4-6 and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during October 4-5.
