Heavy vehicle restricted on Peren–Jalukie Pungchi road

Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru, has informed that in view of the ongoing road construction and geo-grid installation works between District Headquarters Peren and Jalukie Pungchi, plying of heavy vehicles on the stretch will remain closed with effect from February 21, 2026.
According to DIPR report, the restriction will apply to all heavy vehicles except those belonging to the construction firm engaged in the project.
In this connection, heavy vehicles travelling to and from Tening Sub-Division have been advised to take the Peren Town–Jalukie route during the period of closure.
