DIMAPUR: East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has issued an order restricting the movement of heavy vehicles along the road stretch from NH 29 Model Road to GMS School, Darogajan from September 28 to October 15, 2026.
According to the council, the restriction has been imposed to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted road construction work and to ensure the safety of commuters, workers and the general public. Heavy vehicle operators, transporters and vehicle owners have been directed to use the alternative route via the Four Lane Road.
For light vehicles, the designated diversion route is: Nitoke Tower Junction lane 6 Model Colony Mount View Church Road Hollohon Petrol Pump NH 29.
EDTC has requested the cooperation of the public and all concerned in following the diversion until October 15 or until further orders.
