Hectic preparation for the celebration of 62nd Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) is on round the clock at Orangkong village, which is one and half kilometers away from district Headquarters Longleng. The three daylong general sessions would begin on January 13 and concluded on January 16.
Public from the neighboring villages, Orangkong settlers at Longleng town, PSC officials and well wishers are engaged for preparation round the clock despite irregularities of power supply in the district.
Expected to be one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), the planning committee of the celebration are anticipating more delegates coming from all the villages and towns throughout the session. The Orangkong villagers have invited 50 student members and 3 each council members from every villages of the district.
Today, Longleng town witnessed highest number of people and vehicles which was never seen before. Several youth were seen with flag and wishing one another Happy New Year and Happy PSC General session 2015.
The three day long general sessions would have delegates from other communities of the State who have already arrived in the District Headquarter and camping in different hotels of the town.
The 62nd PSC general session on the theme ‘Denngoihen Shing Ngangbu’ (Pursuing wholeness) would witness number of competitions like volleyball for both men and women, open marathon race, extempore speech, painting, essay writing in Phom dialogues, archery both male and female.
The three daylong sessions would have every evening combine worship service with prominent speakers of the State.
