Heroin theft case solved; main accused arrested

DIMAPUR

Kohima Police has arrested the main accused in the theft of heroin from the Malkhana (evidence room) of the Prosecution Inspector’s Court.
According to DIPR report, the incident took place in the early hours of March 22, 2025, during which 45 soap cases containing around 675 grams of suspected heroin were reported stolen. The narcotics were being held as evidence in pending court cases. Police identified and arrested the accused, Kevichutuo Cüze (28), on June 13. He has since been remanded to judicial custody while further investigation is underway.
Kohima Police thanked the public and various organisations for their support in solving the case and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining law and order in the city.
