H&FW deptt warns employees engaged in medicine business

Drugs control administration, Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) department has notified that any government employees engaged in running retail pharmacy/wholesale or trade on the strength of a drugs license, directly or indirectly without prior approval/sanction of the government would be deemed to have violated the Rule-15(1) of Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1968.


In a notice, Controlling & Licensing Authority (C&LA) Tiatoshi Amer reminded that the state government through office memorandum restricted government employees from engaging in any business or trade or undertake employment whether directly or indirectly without prior sanction from the Government.


Therefore, the department has directed such government employees, whether licensee or technical member (registered pharmacist), to surrender their drugs license to the state licensing authority on or before May 16, 2025 or face cancellation of drugs license and further forward the matter to the state government for necessary action.
